We offer discounted car parking at NCP Castle Terrace “EH1 2EW” (£15.50 for 24 hours).
You will need a parking discount card to qualify which can be requested from the reception on your check out. Due to distance from our hotel (approximately 10 minutes’ walk), it is advisable to drop off your luggage first and then park the car.

Luggage Storage
Luggage can be stored at the reception for early arrivals and after checking out.
Please note that we do not accept electronics or valuable items in luggage. Edinburgh Castle Apartments will not accept responsibility for the loss or damage to any personal and valuable belongings left in the luggage.
Front Desk Availability
Our Reception working hours are between 09:00-17:00.
Check-in to our apartments starts from 2 pm onwards and check-out is at 10 am. We provide a self-check-in option for guests who will arrive after 4 pm. If you require to check in after 4 pm, kindly inform our staff who will then forward your SELF CHECK-IN instructions.
Laundry Facility
Washing machine and a tumble dryer available on request.
Self Catering Kitchen
Our kitchenettes feature microwavable oven, fridge/freezer, toaster, kettle, and other tea/coffee making facilities.
You will also find pots, pans, plates, cutlery and serving utensils. Apartments with fit-in cookers are subject to availability. Electric hob available if requested.
Hotel Rules
Loud noise, loud music/parties, loud voices, and smoking in the rooms are not permitted and can result in immediate eviction with no refund. Noise levels should be at an acceptable level as judged by the Hotel’s other guests and Hotel Management. If Hotel Management receives a noise complaint, we will only give one warning to quieten down. Receiving a second complaint will result in the room(s) being asked to leave the Hotel and no refund will be given.
Smoking Policiy
Please be aware that all the apartments, except our Garden Studios at the Edinburgh Castle Apartments and Suites are non-smoking. The hotel respectfully requests that hotel guests to not smoke in the apartments and instead use the outdoor smoking area. To ensure the health and safety of all guests, smoking in designated non-smoking areas will result in fines and possible eviction. Anyone found to be smoking or having smoked inside the apartments will be subject to a fine of £150.
Lost/Found Item(s)
Items left behind by a guest will be sent on demand by post at the guest’s expense to any address the guest may specify.
If not specifically instructed the hotel will store such items for 90 days and then donate them to a charitable cause.
Transportation
There are 3 options to reach our apartments from the airport: Airport BUS: The ticket costs £5.50. The Airlink bus (Service 100) runs between the airport and the city centre, reaching Princess Street stop in 25 minutes and it is 10 minutes from our apartments. Edinburgh TRAM: The ticket cost £7.50 and the tram stop is allocated 7 min from our apartments. Trams depart every 7 minutes, between 7am and 7pm, and every 15 minutes out with these hours, with an end-to-end journey of just 30 minutes. Taxi- The price ranges between £22-£25. Please note that the prices are average.
